Ability to easily contact meeting attendees ahead of meeting

We often have recurring standing meetings, that may or may not be cancelled depending on the need. How might we allow the owner/facilitator of the meeting easily reach out to the participants to either update them on agenda items, ask for agenda topics, or to ask whether we need the meeting at all?
